Nashid Abdul Wasi joined The KA System of Karate September 1,1970 he was perfect for The Freestyle Strong he was promoted to advance White Belt Sunday October 25,1970. Green Belt March 20,1971. Advance Green Belt Sunday October 24,1971. Brown Belt Saturday May 20,1972. Avance Brown Belt Sarurday October 28,1972. Black Belt Saturday September 5,1987 on the same promotion he advance to 2nd, 3rd and 4th Degree Black Belt. Nashid was 38 years old. On Saturday October 31,1992 Nashid was promoted to 5th Degree Black Belt he was 43 years old. Friday February 13,1998 Mudarris was promoted to 6th to 7th Degree Black Belt. Saturday September 27,2008 Mudarris was promoted by AL-Mu'assis to 8th to 9th to 10th Degree Black Belt in The Freestyle Strong at the age of 59. Mudarris is the 1st in The KA System to reach this level but he earn it through his training, understanding and by reading the history of his style. He is capable of his level of excellence. Jerry Stewart joined The KA System of Karate April 16,1969 he was the epitome of The Standard Style Straight he was promoted to Advance White Belt August 16,1969. Purple Belt January 25,1970. Received his KA System of Karate teaching certificate Saturday May 20,1972. 2nd Degree Black Belt Saturday March 9,1974. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Degree Black Belt Saturday September 27,2008 at the age of 53.
Wazr was 13 teen years old when he entered the magic of The KA System of Karate. His contribution and excellence in displaying The Standard Style Straight was a joy to behold, his display and exercution was perfect in tournament competition. Wazr was the 1st student in the system to be promoted to a 2nd Degree Black at the age of 18 teen.
The late Yasim Salaam joined The KA System of Karate November 2,1968. Yasim was the top fighter in those early years he was a Standard Style Straight fighter and the 1st student in The KA System to be promoted to Green Belt May 1969. Yasim was also a amateur boxer. He stoped training for a few years and returned February 5,1975. He left the school for the last time April 5,1975. Saturday December 5,1992 Yasim Salaam died. I will forever remember Yasim. Clarence Boone joined The KA System of Karate September 29,1969 he was the 2nd student in the system to fight in his style The Freestyle Mix Up in tournament play and became a Champion. He proved to all that stood in his way that his style of fighting worked. Clarence made the cover of Official Karate Magizine as a Brown Belt. He was given the nick name of Old Faithful because he use to turn up late for tournaments but always coming through.

The late Happy Crump aka Amin Mu-Jahid, The Robot, Jelani Sifu, Raymond Crump which ever name you want to call him he was one of a kind. When he performed you saw magic in the air. He was splendid in his display of The Robot Long. Happy joined The KA System of Karate January 20,1974. His promotion history. When Happy came through the doors of the system he had made the rank of Black Belt from another system, because he was a qualified Black Belt he kept his honor. He received his Black Belt from The KA System of Karate February 1,1975. Saturday September 5,1987 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belt. Friday February 13,1998 4th to 5th Degree Black Belt. AL-Mu'assis would only perform exhibitions in the famous (Standard Style Freeze One Punch Kill) with the Robot. When he joined the system I wrote (I'm letting this student come without paying, I'm trying him to see if he is for real about learning The KA System) He became a KA Boy. Happy was 26 years old when he became a student. Happy (Robot) Crump died Sunday October 17,1910 at the age of 63 years old. He's with Allah now.
Rabb Salahuddin Ibn Mutakabbir aka Robert Wright/Fahamu Mangu joined The KA System of Karate June 8,1971 he was 12 years old. His mother Lillian Frison wanted her son to learn how to protect himself. Omar Karriem ABdAllah my 1st son was born in karate I started teaching him at the age of 3 years old but not in the dojo. He was a very good child. Bryant Everett joined The KA System of Karate at the age of 15 years old. He was a natural Standard Style Straight fighter. The late Edward Thompson, a Standard Style Straight Fighter joined The KA System of Karate October 29,1969. Edward was 190 pounds, 6'3 1/2 and as strong as an ox. He was as dedicated to the system as I. If you said something out of line about me or the system you was in trouble. Edward was a street fighter way before he joined The KA System. The late James Dickey, joined The KA System of Karate May 31,1972 at the age of 25 years old. James attend class on his regular days never missing a class he traveled from Piscatway, New Jersey to Newark, New Jersey. Our location was 512 Springfield Avenue. He was a Standard Style Straight Fighter. James promotion history. Advance White Belt Saturday March 13,1976. He received an honoray Green Belt. Because of the love James had for the system he wanted to learn as much as he could about it. I decided to teach him about the worked I had to do. Mylo Thompson, joined The KA System of Karate February 19,1968 he was the 1st Freestyle Crouch student that was an outstanding in fighting. When I met Mylo he told me that his younger brother whiped his but and I just came from the arm forces and I have to get back. Making the story short Mylo brother was a Brown Belt. I asked him which school did his brother attend, once he said the name I told him that he would be ready to defeat his brother in around 6 months. I new my training skills and style of fighting was above the techniques of his brother skills. When the same for that match Mylo won and he has been a Champion fighter ever since. Timothy G.Screven joined The KA System of Karate September 1,1969 he was 24 years old. Timothy was one of the 1st students that won at a tournament he was a Green Belt at that time. Tiney Pringle joined The KA System of Karaye December 11,1969 at the age of 16 teen. Because her family could not afford to pay for her lesson I allowed Tiney to attend for free throughout her stay. She use to live in the 17th Avenue Housing projects. I use to pick her up and bring her back home when she entered tournaments. Tiney was our 1st female Champion and a fighter she was. Otto Hill joined The KA System of Karate November 8,1968 he was 23 years old. Otto was a southpaw. He and I use to play billards and eat at one another home. His Back Crescent was blazing. The late Richard Denby joined The KA System of Karate January 21,1969 he was 25 years old his style The Standard Style Across. He was also my barber. I had to trick Saleem in order for him to join the school. He became successful in tounament play, not because of his power but because of his retreat moves. Promotion history. Fred Mitchell joined The KA System of Karate August 19,1969 he was 24 years of age his fighting style, The Standard Style Straight. Fred and I went to South Side High we were in the came class. Irfaan Farid ABdAllah joined The KA System of Karate May 17,1987 he was 9 years old his style The Low Long Cat Stance. Irfaan was outstanding in his style. He only entered a few tournaments but he took 1st place in fighting each time. I use to take him to Harlem New York for sparring. Irfaan use to whip on all the pee wee's.
